There are two packages available (IKEv1 and IKEv2), each of which contains the source code, the class files and the user documentation, depending on the version of IKE.

Click on one of the following links to download the release:

• niist-v0.2.0b.tar.gz (IKEv1)
• niist2-v0.3.1b.tar.gz (IKEv2)

Setting Up the NIIST Environment

Before installing NIIST, SSF/SSFNet (Java version) and JDK 1.2 or higher MUST be installed. Make sure that the JDK version 1.2 or later and SSF/SSFNet verion 1.5.0 or higher have been installed and your CLASSPATH environment variable has properly been configured. If either JDK or SSF/SSFNet haven't yet been installed, you can download them from the following site:

• JDK
• SSF/SSFNet

Once the file is downloaded, place the file in the ssfnet/src/SSF/ directory relative to where SSF/SSFNet is installed.

The NIISTv1 must be installed first in order to properly create the NIIST environment. Unpack the file and do the following:

• cd niist-v0.2.0b
• make niist-environ
  This will do some minor modifications on UDP and droptailMonitor that will support the NIIST features.

Now, ready to use NIIST.
